Monthly Sweepstakes Shows Local Restaurant Support
Chamber Web site features 1 local restaurant per month which will offer gift card that residents can sign up to win!
Oceanside, CA (DATE) –The Oceanside Chamber of Commerce began featuring one local restaurant per month offering both the community and the restaurant many benefits. Chamber member, Lisa Frost, said in response to this, “As a long time Chamber member and a Social Media Marketing specialist I am excited to see the OCC engaging the community through Facebook with fun content like the Sweepstakes.” The Chamber is hoping to engage our community-business relations by offering these sorts of incentives to be involved with one another.
The way the sweepstakes works is simple: just “like” the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. Although the restaurant’s logo is the picture for the Chamber’s Facebook page, there is also a sweepstakes page that is connected to give the featured restaurant more visibility. It’s a way to offer the community a bonus at no cost to them while giving a local restaurant high exposure for an entire month.
The program is in its’ infancy with only 3 months worth of restaurants, starting with Harney Sushi, followed by Buccaneer Café, and currently featuring Hooligans Sports Bar. All three businesses offered a $50 gift card to the winner. It has only been restaurants offering gift cards and being featured, but we encourage other businesses to inquire about becoming the featured business for the sweepstakes. Lisa Frost also said, “This kind of social interaction not only boosts the recognition of the Chamber but helps increase exposure for all members beyond the typical business-only focus that many Chambers seem reluctant or unsure how to do effectively. Our business has experienced a noticeable increase in attention since the OCC expanded their focal point to integrate the mainstream community.”
