APRIL 20TH at 6:30pm - GRAND OPENING GALA OF OCEANSIDE THEATRE COMPANY'S FIRST SEASON WITH A TONY AWARD WINNING COMEDY - "BILOXI BLUES" by Neil Simon! Tickets for the fundraising Gala are $50 each and include a premium reserved theatre ticket and music, champagne, wine, appetizers and the opportunity to meet our Artistic Director Christopher Williams before the show in Studio 219, next door to The Brooks. The first play in Oceanside Theatre Company's premiere season is Neil Simon's Tony award winning comedy BILOXI BLUES and is directed by Artistic Director Christopher Williams. BILOXI BLUES is part of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Neil Simon's trilogy - beginning with "Brighton Beach Memoirs" and concluding with "Broadway Bound". 'When we last met Eugene Jerome, he was coping with adolescence in 1930's Brooklyn. Here, he is a young army recruit during WWII, going through basic training and learning about Life and Love with a capital 'L' along with harsher lessons while stationed at boot camp in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1943.' BILOXI BLUES is produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
