T-Shirt Factory Located in Oceanside CA
The T-shirt Factory was established in 1984 by a local surf enthusiast named Chuck Snyder. Under the name of Mariposa Graphics, the new business operated as an old-school screen-printing service for neighboring businesses. As the business grew, it became the T-shirt Factory, introducing more automated methods of producing screen-printed products for its clients.
The T-shirt Factory used to be known as Oceanside’s ‘best kept secret’ for custom t-shirts. Only established customers and those who accidentally stumbled upon the subdued homogenous face of the shop were enjoying the lowest wholesale printing rates in North County. September 2009 brought about a resurrection and rebirth of the T-shirt Factory by husband-wife team Dave and Cheryl Preston. Dave brings 30 years of graphic design and printing experience to the T-shirt Factory, and is often hailed by customers as working ‘magic’ in the graphics phase of logo creation.
Cheryl has owned two successful commercial businesses in San Diego for ten years, until the opportunity came to adopt their fourth child in Beijing. Together, and with the support of their outstanding team, the T-shirt Factory has become one of the most inviting service-oriented businesses in Oceanside, with the added bonus of a cool ‘hippie-like’ vibe, as Dave and Cheryl are part of Three Chord Justice, an alternative country band that plays in some of the best venues in San Diego county. Dave really does have the ‘golden touch’ in the graphic arts department, solving printing issues where others have tried and failed. Cheryl will thoughtfully guide you through the ordering process with what seems like a ’6th-sense’ insight to what her customers are looking for, and the most economical and creative way to achieve it. Another exciting feature of the T-shirt Factory is their newly-launched retail line of fashion-fit tees, hoodies, hats, and other apparel.
The graphics are inspired by Dave and well-known poster artist Scrojo of the Belly Up in Solana Beach. The T-shirt Factory can be found at the Sunset Market every Thursday evening offering their most sought after products by locals and visitors alike. Keep your eyes open for new designs, for once they’re released, they usually sell out, and ‘re-print’ dates are often trumped by the non-stop queue of ever-increasing customers. Next door to the T-shirt Factory is her sister company On Track Printing, offering everything from custom business cards to banners and vinyl lettering for your store fronts or vehicles. A unique caveat of On Track Printing is the turn of the century letterpress services offered. Letterpress printing is perfect for wedding invitations, birth announcements or any special event that calls for an elegant ‘old-world’ touch. Dave is a master printer, in screen-printing, offset and letterpress, and will make your personal and business ideas come to life. So feel free to stop by and check out what everyone is talking about. Whether you need just one heatpress shirt for a birthday party, or 3,000 screen-printed shirts for your business, the T-shirt Factory has the experience and resources to make it happen. We are proud supporters of our military customers, and offer an automatic discount with every military order. Dave has the ability to convert hand-drawn artwork into ‘camera-ready’ film for t-shirt printing, with a skill and personal touch that is unmatched. Quick turn-around, customer service, attention to detail, and quality are what we are known for.
