Centrally located in the heart of the beautiful
Southern California coastline, Oceanside is among

Location:
Oceanside is located just 38 miles north
of downtown San Diego and 50 miles south of John
Wayne/Orange County Airport. A coastal community, it
is easily accessed by Interstate 5.

Harbor Days
, event held the third weekend of
September, provides two days of good hearted family
fun – Mayor’s Cup Regatta, a sailing competition
around buoys in the harbor waters; Fishing Derby,
poles and people swarm around the fishing pier while
youngsters cast their lines to see who will come up
with the biggest fish; and Nail and Sail, sailors
sink or swim in this contest which pits brain
against brawn as teams build and navigate a
seaworthy craft around a short, but treacherous
course.

Nearest airports:
McClellen Palomar Airport in
Carlsbad is located just 15 minutes south of
Oceanside. It offers daily connections from Los
Angeles Airport on United and daily connections from
Phoenix on America West Airlines. San Diego
International Airport/Lindberg Fields is
approximately 30 minutes south of Oceanside and
provides service from most major carriers.
