SAN MARCOS, CA – North County Health Services (NCHS) has raised over $102,000 during their annual Fore For Kids VIII Golf Classic at The Crossings in Carlsbad, NCHS CEO Irma Cota reported today. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the Classic will benefit the pediatric clinic of the organization’s new Carlsbad Health Center. Over 144 golfers participated in the event.

“This year’s golf classic totally exceeded our expectations and we are grateful for the outstanding support from North County San Diego businesses and organizations that will help us meet the healthcare needs of our community,” said Cota. “Our new Carlsbad facility at 1295 Carlsbad Village Drive is being expanded to accommodate the growth and expansion of our medical services in the area.”

The golf tournament and all fundraising efforts in 2012 are supplementing NCHS’s capital campaign to equip the 2,695 square foot “cold shell” building that will house the new Carlsbad Health Center, scheduled to open in early 2013.

North County Health Services is a private not-for-profit organization that serves nearly 60,000 patients annually at 10 health centers in Carlsbad, Encinitas, Oceanside, Ramona and San Marcos.  NCHS services include pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, internal medicine, adolescent medicine, dental care, mental health services and radiology, as well as community health outreach, prevention and disease management programs.   For more information about NCHS visit www.nchs-health.org
