SDG&E has donated $1 million in shareholder funds to help launch the San Diego COVID-19 Community Response Fund to support local nonprofit groups that help the needy with food, rent and utility bill assistance. At SDG&E’s recommendation, the Community Response Fund has provided funding to the following efforts:

For almost 24 years, Body & Brain Yoga and Health Centers Inc., has been sharing yoga, tai chi, breathing and meditation at over 100 centers, and at non-profit Body & Brain Foundation 501(c)3 outreach locations across the United States. Increased speeds, free service and remote support extension plus discounted laptops through partnerships help students finish out the school year strong SAN DIEGO, Calif. – April 17, 2020 – Recognizing that students will remain home to finish out the school year, Cox has extended free Connect2Compete service, the company’s low-cost internet offer for families with a K-12 student at home until July 15. Remote service support is also extended to ensure ease of implementation while students continue to learn at home during the Coronavirus pandemic. Customers that sign up between March 13 and May 15 are eligible for this offer and will receive free service until July 15.
 MiraCosta College students, whose financial challenges are worsening because of the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on the economy, will soon share more than $5.5 million provided through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
 The Veterans Association of North County and the American Legion Post 760 would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all of you who joined us last Friday. It was an extreme SUCCESS, with over 30 volunteers, we served 287 vehicles just over 1,000 people! 3/4 were active duty and the others veterans and their families. Everyone going through the line was very pleased with all the different types of fresh vegetables, fruit, canned goods , bread and the families that needed diapers were VERY happy!
