 Finding a new career path in the time of COVID is especially difficult. Online searches, and company videos just don't cut it. And networking is incredibly difficult. VCC built this monthly webinar in response to requests from San Diego veterans, military and spouses wanting to examine local career opportunities. We've received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants.

 From August 1 to 30, Oceanside residents pledged to save water and protect the environment as part of the Wyland National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation. The Mayor’s Challenge aims to ignite cities across the nation in promoting water supply reliability, watershed protection, and overall environmental stewardship, and is a call to action for leaders to inspire their residents to use resources wisely. Residents who participated in the Challenge by pledging or completing environmental projects from home earned points for the City in the nationwide competition.

A born and raised resident of Oceanside in California’s 49th Congressional District, Oscarin Ortega created Lived Experiences to provide support and guidance to underrepresented youth whose challenges he understood firsthand.

We are looking for a positive and confident individual with both the ability and desire to sell. This individual must have the skills to work both independently and as part of a team. Initial training will be provided. Hours worked will be Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week with additional hours as needed. Compensation is an hourly rate of pay and commissions.

 Oceanside, CA (October 8, 2020) - Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside (BGCO) has received $20,000 in emergency funding from Price Philanthropies. This grant will help offset the exponential increase in expenses brought on by the pandemic, including individual educational supplies and food for the Emergency Food Program. To meet the need of San Diego County students and families without home computers for distance learning during the pandemic, Cox Communications, the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, the San Diego County Office of Education, and San Diego Councilman Chris Cate, District 6 are joining together with Computers 2 Kids to rally businesses and the public countywide for a month-long computer drive to benefit local students.

The BREEZE service changes are designed to provide better trip reliability and improve connectivity to the SPRINTER, COASTER, and other BREEZE routes.
