July 20, 2020 — GlobalGiving announced today that Studio ACE has been selected to receive a $5,000 COVID-19 relief and recovery grant from The Red Backpack Fund, an opportunity for small businesses and nonprofits made possible by The Spanx by Sara Blakely Foundation.
“My hope is that this gift will help alleviate some of the pressures caused by this horrible pandemic. Twenty years ago, I started Spanx with $5,000 in savings, and I see this as a time to pay it forward. Small business is the backbone of our culture. I know what it’s like to be a small business owner, and I want to provide some relief to these entrepreneurs during this time,” said Spanx Founder Sara Blakely.  Oceanside, CA – Studio Ace is holding its first Art Contest with a grand prize worth $1200. This contest is open to ages 12-17. 25 winners will be entered into an exhibition at Studio ACE Community Gallery where the public will decide the Grand Prize!

(Oceanside, CA) November 12, 2019—Oceanside Theatre Company (OTC), the resident professional theater company at the Historic Brooks Theater, has collaborated with Boys and Girls Clubs of Oceanside (BGCO) for the first time to bring the benefits of theater arts to local youth. This free 9-week OTC Youth Outreach program for Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside members, ages 5-17, culminates in four performances for family, friends and the general public at the Brooks Theater, home to the Oceanside Theatre Company.  Come and create with us at Thanksgiving Art Camp! Join instructor Corinna Stocker and get ready for the Thanksgiving holiday with drawing, painting, printmaking, and even some music making!
 The Holiday Bazaar at Studio ACE will be the place to buy one of a kind gifts from local artists this holiday season. Bazaar will be inside, so it will be held rain or shine! Cider, holiday treats, and music will be provided to cheer you on. Bring all your friends and get your holiday shopping done early. The Bazaar will be held Saturday, December 7, 2019 11:00 am - 3:00 pm!
(Oceanside, CA) September 27, 2019— Oceanside Theatre Company (OTC), the resident professional theatre company at the Historic Brooks, will open its season with an enriching production centered on family and its perseverance through adversity. After engaging audiences at Scripps Ranch Theatre last month, Foxfire, by Hume Croyn and Susan Cooper, moves up to OTC to share the power of family and history with the community at the Brooks Theater from October 11-27— each Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm.  The Oceanside Friends of the Arts(OFOA) is proud to announce the availability of scholarship grants for local Oceanside students interested in pursuing art through their college curriculum. OFOA is the producer of First Friday Art Walk and proceeds from those events support the arts related activities for the Oceanside community including scholarships.
 The Filipino-American Cultural Organization (FACO) and the Oceanside Public Library will be hosting the 18th Annual Filipino Cultural Celebration on Saturday, June 8, 2019. The event will take place in the Oceanside Civic Center Plaza, located downtown at 330 N. Coast Highway in Oceanside’s Cultural District, from 12:00 noon to 6:30 p.m. Event admission is free and open to the public.
