Please join the Oceanside Chamber in voting No on Measure A. The Chamber opposes "ballot-box" planning, and Measure A requires 1.6 million voters to vote whenever someone wants to add as few as six homes to the County General Plan. This measure is opposed by a broad coalition of San Diegans that includes the Democratic and Republican parties of San Diego County, firefighters and public safety leaders, business organizations, as well as community, taxpayer and rural advocates.
"Measure A would make our housing affordability crisis worse, and it would hurt businesses throughout our region,” said Scott Ashton, Chief Executive Officer, Oceanside Chamber of Commerce. “That’s because Measure A is bad public policy that would devastate our local economy by fueling a cycle of less worker housing, higher employer costs and job losses. We must defeat this poorly crafted measure.”
