In 2018 the “Connecting with Capital Expos” and One-On-One Consulting helped small business owners obtain over $38M in funding from small businesses. Since the inception of the Connecting with Capital Expos in 2017 the SBDC has helped entrepreneurs raise over $91M in capital infusion to move their businesses and the region forward.
The Oceanside Public Library is proud to offer free Basic Computer Classes at both the Civic Center and Mission Branch locations. At the Civic Center Library, located at 330 N. Coast Highway in Oceanside, classes will begin on January 8 and continue every Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1:00 until 3:30 p.m. for three weeks. At the Mission Branch Library, located at 861 Mission Ave., classes will be held every Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the Community Rooms, continuing through February.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside Receives SDG&E Grant to Inspire Future Leaders and Prevent Summer Learning Loss
Oceanside, CA (DECEMBER, 2018) – Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside (BGCO) received $5,000 from San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) for Inspiring Future Leaders through the power of STEM. In an effort to combat summer learning loss, BGCO implemented the STREAMing Ahead Program.

The public is invited to Memory Loss 101, presented by Dementia Care Consultant Jean Alton from Alzheimer's San Diego, on Wednesday, January 9, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., at the Civic Center Library Community Rooms located at 330 North Coast Highway. Alton will discuss common signs and symptoms of dementia, other possible causes of memory loss, and how to maintain a healthy brain as one ages, and will provide an overview of the local resources that are available for screening, diagnosis, and support.
