Dear Oceanside, As the leading voice for the Oceanside business community, we would be remiss if we did not use our platform to address an issue affecting our neighborhoods and businesses across the nation. We believe this is an opportunity for us to share the feedback we have received from residents and businesses in our community and to help set an example of what we can do in order to see positive changes in our region. In the last edition of the Best of Oceanside Quarterly Journal, the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce asked Chamber members to share why they loved Oceanside. Check out what they had to say about the beautiful city many of us call home.
In recent months, the Chamber’s Public Policy Task Force has worked to develop strong housing creation policy statements to address one Oceanside’s most critical issues… workforce housing. These policy statements, adopted by the Chamber Board in May, will provide direction in how the Chamber will interact with the City and State on housing related policy.

Downtown Oceanside has a wine destination of its own with the debut of Coomber Craft Wines; the 3,500-square-foot Mission Avenue urban winery and tasting room, which features a 1,700-square-foot back patio, is now open Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. The Oceanside Chamber of Commerce is committed to playing a vital role in the well-being of our community. In February, the chamber voted to support the proposed North River Farms development in eastern Oceanside, in part because of the positive opportunities it will create to meet our housing and employment objectives. Chamber CEO, Scott Ashton says, “As we look to our future it is imperative that we implement lifestyle supportive housing to attract and retain our workforce.”
