The Oceanside Chamber's Rising Star Program aims to champion students that have overcome significant challenges in their life and have managed to keep on track with their education. The Chamber honors one high school senior each month from five of our area high schools.
At the end of the school year, all students that have been recognized are invited to apply for scholarships through the Oceanside Chamber Foundation. Scholarships range from $1,000 - $5,000 per student to assist in funding a 2-4 year post-secondary education or certification program. Scholarships are awarded based on demonstrated commitment to pursue higher education.
Rising Star events are open to the public. Tickets are $25 for Chamber members and $40 for non-member. A continental breakfast will be provided to all guests. All donations to the Rising Star scholarship fund are tax deductible through the Oceanside Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)(3) corporation.
