At its July 17th Award & Recognition Luncheon, the Oceanside Chamber recognized several chamber members for their outstanding contributions to our community. The event took place at the El Camino Country Club in Oceanside, with over 160 attendees. In addition to recognizing the “member anniversaries” of dozens of businesses, the Chamber honored six awardees that have served the community in a variety of capacities.

As your District Attorney, I’m committed to increasing communication and accessibility between the DA’s Office and you, the community. One way I have been doing that is through this monthly column, where I provide consumer tips on public safety matters. (Me with my old high school coach and mentor Coach Al Miller who’s in the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.) I’ve recently returned from a trip into my hometown of Cleveland, TN located in the southeast part of Tennessee. I generally make it over to see friends and family and to help out with a local high school team as a guest clinician at a wrestling camp, showing technique and talking with them at the end of the camp.

These are some of the questions we may have with our with our home or business at some point. Do I have an electrical short? Do we want new lighting, or do I need a new panel? Why shouldn't I try and fix that light switch? Why does that light switch work some of the time? |
