Oceanside is a mosaic of beautiful people, varying in race, ethnicity, and military association, brought together by a love for the sounds and scents of the Pacific. Though the ocean is chilling, the community is warm and inviting, especially to military families.

Moving to a new place is not uncommon in the military; rather, every so many years military families are uprooted, and find themselves in unfamiliar places surrounded by unfamiliar people. This unfamiliarity can linger for weeks and even months before a new family feels apart of a city or community. For the military families who move into Oceanside that adjustment period is rather short.

The transition for families, spouses and retirees is built in to the City of Oceanside through the community events, and incredible dedication the businesses in Oceanside demonstrate to hiring and supporting the Military.  The Chamber of Commerce’s Military Affair Committee is a huge asset to bridging the gap between Camp Pendleton and the City of Oceanside.
