Breakwater Community Church Grand Opening Photo Gallery

On Saturday October 27th, Breakwater Community Church celebrated the grand opening of their location at 506 S Nevada St. in Oceanside. Many of the church’s members were in attendance along with Chamber staff, ambassadors and Council member Jack Feller. The celebration included a bounce house, barbeque, and many raffle prizes for all ages. 

Breakwater Community Church was founded on June 20th, 2017 and signed the lease to the location they now call home on July 5th, 2018. Through efforts from the church staff & fellowship, they made renovations to accommodate to children of all age groups and now offer a meeting space outside of service hours. They host a 10am Sunday Worship Service,  1pm Weekly Theological Discussion on Mondays, and 6pm Ethos, Pathos, & Logos (EPL) on Wednesdays.  Roger Vanderwerken, a retired Naval Chaplain, serves as the founding pastor.  Through his leadership, Breakwater Community Church is committed to a great future of bringing the gospel message to Downtown Oceanside and supporting our military families aboard Camp Pendleton.
