Updating a general plan for any municipality poses the threat of a long, expensive, egregious process. But it’s critical for the vision and future development of the City of Oceanside. The City could get some great projects if the land use element and zoning codes were updated … Emerging Issues Committee recommended that the Chamber send a letter to the City of Oceanside encouraging the City to make the land use element and zoning code updates a high priority.
