why we love oceanside!

In the last edition of the Best of Oceanside Quarterly Journal, the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce asked Chamber members to share why they loved Oceanside. Check out what they had to say about the beautiful city many of us call home.

I love Oceanside for the hard work many residents have put into making the city a better place. The streets are very tidy and the people of Oceanside are proud to say that they're from Oceanside, California. Some of the best places to eat in North County are in Oceanside. Oceanside has gone through one of the most amazing transformations that I can think of in recent history.

Unlike other cities, Oceanside residents recycle 100% of their green waste. I love Oceanside because our community is fully engaged and has supported our efforts to support a sustainable, thriving public-private partnership with the City of Oceanside. To date Agri Service has diverted over a 1,000,000 tons of green waste from area landfills. Thank you Oceanside, we love you!

What is NOT to love about this great city?!? First of all we LOVE the beach...even better we LOVE sunsets at the beach, especially at Roberts Cottages…It is so quaint, cute and charming. Next is the Harbor, all the restaurants and bars down there are so fun and delicious. Animal Kingdom films here and it is my favorite show with super cool people in their production crew. Oceanside is the WHOLE package!

The beaches, the locals, activities and the weather of course! We have a pier, harbor, and miles of beaches all in one city.  A ton of local businesses, from unique restaurants to all types of services, you can find it in Oceanside!  Activities galore: skydiving, surfing, hiking, bike riding, fishing and so much more.  A large community with a small-town feel!  Get everything you need in Oceanside or just hop on a train, we do have the third-largest train station in Southern California.
