LAW SCHOOL RELOCATES TO OCEANSIDE, PROVIDING NORTH COUNTY RESIDENTS ACCESS TO LEGAL EDUCATION1/27/2022
 Western Sierra Law School has provided affordable and accessible legal education to students in San Diego since 1979. During the pandemic, like other institutions, the law school transitioned to online learning to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 and decided to close its central San Diego facility. Recently, as cities within the county began to allow businesses to reopen, the law school explored potential locations for its new physical facility and found the city of Oceanside to be a favorable location.
 If there’s anything we’ve learned over the past two years, it’s that this community has heart! What better way to illustrate that sentiment than with a community sculpture? Soon, Oceanside residents and visitors will be able to cement their commitments with a “love lock” in the City we all call home.

SBA will Award $3M in Grants to Help States, Entrepreneurs Combat Rise in Cyber Attacks and Threats WASHINGTON – Today, Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman, head of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), announced $3 million in new funding for state governments to help emerging small businesses across America develop their cybersecurity infrastructure – a priority of the Biden-Harris Administration, outlined in the President’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). As part of the Cybersecurity for Small Business Pilot Program, through the Office of Entrepreneurial Development, state governments are eligible to compete for grants that will help deliver cybersecurity assistance to nascent and start-up business owners. Applications will be accepted from January 26, 2022, through March 3, 2022.

 Donate to benefit local animal shelters and rescues in San Diego, Riverside and Orange counties SAN DIEGO, Calif., (January 6, 2021) - San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, has collected over $7,380 so far to help the local animal shelters and rescues in San Diego, Orange and Riverside counties through its “Presents for Paws” fundraising campaign. This is SDCCU’s tenth consecutive holiday season supporting the “Presents for Paws” campaign. The fundraiser kicked off December 1, but due to the ongoing financial strain the COVID-19 pandemic has put on our local shelters and rescues, they need our help even more. This is why the campaign has been extended through January 31 in an effort to meet the goal of raising $10,000.
 OCEANSIDE, Calif. - Military spouses and women were disproportionately impacted by the Pandemic, with many forced out of the workplace. Many women desire to make a career pivot. The National Veterans Chamber of Commerce, SCORE Mentors, and the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce have responded to this call to action by hosting the second cohort of its free business incubator program.
