The Oceanside Public Library invites children of all ages and their families to the Franklin Haynes Marionettes bilingual show, Las Marionetas en Desfile, on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at the Civic Center Library, located at 330 North Coast Highway. Las Marionetas en Desfile (Marionettes on Parade), is a marionette show that introduces children to some of the traditions of Latin America as well as commonly used Spanish words.

The Oceanside Public Library invites the public to Write On, Oceanside! Oceanside Public Library invites families to a free, engaging and educational presentation featuring “Feathered Friends” with The Raptor Institute on Saturday, January 26 at 11:00 a.m., at the Civic Center Library, 330 North Coast Highway. Children and their caregivers will get to meet live raptors, or birds of prey, and learn about their conservation, biology, and natural history. Families will learn about where these raptors live, what they eat, and how important they are in the environment we live in.
The Oceanside Public Library invites the public to a special performance entitled “Jazz and the African American Vocal Artist” on Saturday, February 9, at 3:30 p.m., in the Civic Center Library Community Rooms at 330 North Coast Highway in downtown Oceanside. The performance by Michael Paul Smith and friends will include a vocal jazz concert with narrative. This year, “One Book, One San Diego” made an unprecedented choice with the award-winning March: Book One, a graphic memoir about the Civil Rights Movement by U.S. Rep. John Lewis, Andrew Aydin, and Nate Powell. In keeping with this historic selection, an Oceanside Public Library panel discussion will highlight the significant themes of the book. The free, public event will be held in the Civic Center Library Community Rooms, 330 N. Coast Highway, at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 10.
