MiraCosta Community College District has unveiled a new online dashboard that allows the public to access real-time information on the progress and status of the Capital Improvement Program, which includes Measure MM.

Oceanside, CA (January 2020) – Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside (BGCO) has received a $25,000 grant from Rite Aid Foundation KidsCents to support their Culinary Arts program. Last year, Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside completed a state-of-the-art commercial Culinary Arts Teaching Kitchen. Housed in the new Center for Innovation, this kitchen enables BGCO to serve freshly prepared meals onsite as well as teach cooking classes, giving youth hands-on experience with nutritious, healthy cooking. Through the Culinary Arts program, youth learn about kitchen safety, basic cooking skills and the importance of a well-balanced diet.

Working collaboratively, the Project Team has been able to expedite the January 2020 timeline for repairs to support completion during a partial absolute work window (AWW) on Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15, 2019. The partial AWW maintains northbound and southbound rail operations from the Solana Beach COASTER Station to Oceanside Transit Center, and provides a bus bridge from Solana Beach COASTER Station to Santa Fe Depot Train Station.

SACRAMENTO – Senator Patricia Bates (R-Laguna Niguel) has announced that the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) has awarded more than $1 million in Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) to Orange and San Diego counties to reduce homelessness. These grants are in addition to the $2.5 million in state funding that Senator Bates previously announced in October 2019.
