The Friends of the Oceanside Public Library will hold a Books and Media (BAM!) Sale fundraiser on Saturday, August 17, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., behind the Civic Center Library at 602 Civic Center Drive in Oceanside.
This year’s Magical Evening celebrates the 40 years of service Marva Bledsoe has given to WRC and the impact she has made in our community. In addition, we will welcome Marina Araiza as she begins her journey as WRC’s new CEO. At the event, you will hear the stories and successes of WRC clients first-hand and stand with us as we honor the achievements we’ve celebrated over the 40 years Marva has led us.

We are excited to announce that the 8th Annual North County Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (GRG) Symposium will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM at the North Inland Live Well Center (649 W. Mission Avenue, Escondido, CA 92025)! This free community event is hosted in partnership with YMCA of San Diego County and 2-1-1 San Diego to provide information, resources and services to grandparents raising grandchildren and other relative caregivers raising young family members.

North County San Diego based Vista Community Clinic (VCC) will be holding its second annual charity fun run/walk next month on Sunday May 19th at South Ponto Beach in Carlsbad. The 5k fun run/walk event will begin with registration at 7:00 a.m., and will benefit the health center directly.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside’s (BGCO) Annual Mother’s Day Pancake Breakfast is an opportunity for Club families, community members, and staff to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend in fellowship with one another. The Club will be serving homemade pancakes fresh off the griddle, fresh fruit, eggs, sausage, and coffee. Tickets can be purchased online at bgcoceanside.org or at the door.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside (BGCO) has received a $1,000 grant from San Diego County Ag in the Classroom to support the Wellness Warriors Program by expanding the existing garden at San Luis Rey Elementary.
