Every year, Buffalo Wild Wings and the Buffalo Wild Wings Foundation raise funds in an effort to support youth sports. The company's annual Community day donates 10% of sales and guest donations to a local partner who both encourages and supports an emphasis on the necessity for youth sports. To date, the BWW Foundation has raised over $22 million and has provided over 1 million kids an opportunity to play sports. The initiative, which is traditionally held in April, was postponed due to COVID-19. This year, Community Day will help celebrate and support the return of youth sports. On August 19th, 10% of sales will benefit our local Boys and Girls Clubs of Oceanside! Ethos … Pathos … Logos
A new class! Why do bad things happen to good people? How does one stand up to evil? Are you interested in passion, love, or romance? Or… maybe you have gone through terrible tragedies, intense suffering, loss and grief? How about a Shakespearean-like drama that rejects exclusivism/radical nationalism while teaching racial tolerance? Does life ever seem like an endless groundhog day where nothing makes sense? These questions and more will be addressed as we look at the wisdom literature of ancient Israel. Old Testament Writings kicks off this Wednesday from 6:15 - 7:30 p.m. There is no cost. Study materials are provided. Bring a friend. Feel free to bring your supper if pressed for time. |
