8th Annual North County Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (GRG) Symposium

​We are excited to announce that the 8th Annual North County Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (GRG) Symposium will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM at the North Inland Live Well Center (649 W. Mission Avenue, Escondido, CA 92025)! This free community event is hosted in partnership with YMCA of San Diego County and 2-1-1 San Diego to provide information, resources and services to grandparents raising grandchildren and other relative caregivers raising young family members.

The theme of the symposium is, “Growing Wings: Embracing the Beauty and Power of Change” in celebration of the process of transformation experienced by kinship families. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an array of activities throughout the day to connect with other families and individuals with similar life experiences and learn about local support groups. 
 
PARTICIPATION DETAILS:

• There is no charge for this event and it is open to the public
• Registration opens at 8:00 AM
• Lunch and childcare will be provided with pre-registration
• Spanish interpretation available

• Grandparents and other relative caregivers
• Advocates and professionals
• Community members - all interested individuals are encouraged to attend!
