Thursday, November 8th, 2018 Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside to Celebrate Center for Innovation with Ribbon Cutting, Evening of Innovation Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside 401 Country Club Lane Oceanside, CA 92054 Thursday, November 8th, 2018 4:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. – Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce 4:15 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Refreshments and Tours 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – An Evening of Innovation “We are ecstatic to celebrate the completion of our Center for Innovation. We could not have done this without the tremendous support from this community and the many wonderful and generous Club supporters,” said Jodi Diamond, CEO. “We want youth to gain skills they never would’ve received had they not entered our doors. The Center for Innovation will do just that and much more!.” Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside is thrilled to celebrate the completion of our long awaited Center for Innovation with a community Ribbon Cutting ceremony. After some twists and turns (as with any big construction project), this amazing 2,800 square-foot addition will house our Culinary Arts Teaching Kitchen, Performing Arts Center and STREAM* Lab. Following the ribbon cutting, there will be tours of the Center for Innovation as well as hors d'oeuvres provided by Kitchen’s for Good.
The Culinary Arts Teaching Kitchen will give our teens a place to learn marketable job skills and valuable life skills. In addition, this state-of-the-art facility will provide a training ground for at-risk youth to learn culinary and hospitality skills. The Performing Arts Center will provide a dedicated space for youth and ROAD's members to engage in music, drama and dance programs, including rehearsal and performance space. It will be a place where they can explore and create, providing them a stepping stone to further high school arts education. The STREAM Lab will be an interactive facility in which our youth can experiment, try, fail and learn important problem solving skills that will serve them throughout their lives. BGCO recognized early on that our youth needed to be better prepared in STEM fields to develop the 21st-century skills to set them up for future success, and this space will provide just that and more! *Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Arts, Math CONTACT: Hannah Moss 760-433-8920 ext 115 [email protected] #OceansideNews #Boys&GirlsClub #RibbonCutting #Innovation Comments are closed.
