Calling all Veterans to be part of Oceanside’s salute by way of a 2020 Calendar

​Service for your country never loses honor and we will not let time erode the praise and honor. Minuteman Press Oceanside is looking to honor veterans with a special tribute calendar.  Many veterans in Oceanside are hidden in the crowds. Please come forward on this one occasion and help us recognize you and your fellow veterans in a 2020 calendar.  We would like to publish this calendar by Veterans Day 2019, so please hurry.

In order to be featured in the calendar, please submit two photographs: 

1. In a civilian evening suit or women in a bridal or formal gown
2. In the official photo in uniform

Please submit the photographs as attachments to an email which will serve as a description of the person.  The email should include the following details In 100 words or less:

1. Branch of the Armed or Uniform Services,
2. Years of service, highest rank at separation
3. Commendations and medals
4. Birth city and state.
5. Current city and state of residence
6. Community activities
7. Current business or employment,
8. Family Members.  (Additional information about their family members who are veterans would be priceless.)

For example:

"US Navy, 1989-2001, Captain.  Currently working and living in Oceanside, California. Family members include a husband, and 3 children, 15, 12, and 7 years of age, all in Oceanside, CA."

Each participant will receive 5 calendars to distribute. If you belong to an organization, please contact me to print extra copies to support a NGO.

Although 12 participants would be the minimum, multiples of 12 would increase the number of veterans being honored.  This effort could only succeed with your participation.
