The English Language Institute (ELI) offers international students the opportunity to increase their English language proficiency and develop the skills needed to succeed at a college or university in the United States. This eight-week intensive English as a second language (ESL) program provides individualized instruction in small class sizes. The program is designed for students with a minimum of one year of English language training at high school or college level. This class may not be appropriate for advanced ESL students or students with a TOEFL score greater than 500 paper-based or 46 IBT. Students must be at least 18 years old or meet our minor policy requirements. Our International Students Office will issue I‑20’s. We accept students with an F-1 or B visitor visa or any visa where “enrichment” or “study” is permissible. Instructional components include TOEFL preparation, study of American culture, computer literacy, development of study skills, as well as integrated academic preparation in reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar.
Fee: $1,915 (includes instruction, application fee, books, and student services.) Health insurance is an optional fee of $380 for three months.
