Kick off of the Miles of Smiles Program at OUSD

The Frontwave Credit Union O’side Turkey Trot and the Move Your Feet Before You Eat® Foundation are proud to announce the kick off of their Miles of Smiles program at the OUSD. 8 Schools are participating this year. Students who participate in the Miles of Smiles program receive Certificates of Recognition for the Miles they run and a pair of custom Miles of Smiles shoelaces for every 50 Miles they run in a year. 

​The escalating levels of Mental Illness, Obesity and Diabetes can no longer be ignored. We don’t need more insulin, we need more miles and more nutrient rich, first generation food service in our schools. Help support the Miles of Smiles program at moveyourfeetfoundation.org.

Cost:
Adult Entry 5K $38 by 11/26; $40 by 11/27; $43 on Race Day

Sr. (65+) & Active Military 5M or 5k $35 by 11/27; $40 on Race Day

Beneficiaries:
$5.00 from the entry fee can go to the Oceanside School or non-profit of your choice or Move Your Feet Before You Eat Foundation®.

Course: Race course is a very fast downhill 5M/5K that starts at the Civic Center and finishes at the Pier area along the Beach.

Race Description: Come “move your feet before you eat” this Thanksgiving at Oceanside’s 14th Annual Frontwave Credit Union Turkey Trot 5M or 5K run/walk. Join one of the fastest growing holiday traditions. Be sure to bring the whole family, as there will be races for everyone. Event offers a costume contest, largest teams competition, fabulous live entertainment on the course and finisher medals for all participants. Free digital photos to all registered participants.
