Love Your Heart is an annual event in which organizations from across the U.S. and Mexico join together to provide FREE blood pressure screenings to the public on Valentine's Day, February 14. Last year's Love Your Heart event helped over 36,000 people get to know their blood pressure numbers and take charge of their own heart health.
Since 2012, Love Your Heart has been held annually to provide free blood pressure screenings to the public with partners from across the U.S. and Mexico. It is held at sites representing faith-based congregations, university campuses, local governments, non-profits, and the business community. As a movement that started in San Diego County, this effort continues to be championed locally through our Live Well San Diego Recognized Partners, and is an opportunity for each of our 3.3 million local San Diego residents to “know their numbers” and take charge of their heart health.
Here are two ways that you can participate in Love Your Heart 2019:
#1 - Get your FREE blood pressure screening at a Love Your Heart site!
Encourage your friends, family and colleagues to do the same! It’s a way to give yourself and your loved ones the gift of heart health this Valentine’s Day.
#2 - Promote Love Your Heart using our Social Media Playbook
Use #LoveYourHeart and #AmaTuCorazon to share your Love Your Heart story! You are also welcome to attend our Love Your Heart Media Kick-Off Event on Friday, February 8th at the County Administration Center, in downtown San Diego, to help spread the word about the free screenings.
Let us use Love Your Heart 2019 to strengthen our resolve to fight this epidemic and continue to work toward Live Well San Diego – our regional vision for a healthy, safe and thriving community.
