The MiraCosta College Automotive Technology Program will hold its 9th Annual Car and Motorcycle Show on Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. at MiraCosta College, Parking Lot 1A, 1 Barnard Drive, Oceanside. The event is free for spectators. Proceeds from the event will benefit the college's military, veteran, CTE Transitions, and Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) students.
"Bringing together car owners, enthusiasts, and our students allows us to collectively demonstrate our appreciation for the craftsmanship, beauty and technology of the car," said Steve Vail, event coordinator. "We do this so our students can see the work, love, and attention paid to these timeless machines—and so car owners know we appreciate their willingness to share their love of their cars with the rest of us." The event will include live music, awards, and drawings. Food from Full Metal Burgers will be available for purchase. The fee to exhibit your vehicle is $20 on the day of the event. Preregister online and the fee is $15 (military and students, $10). Entrants can register online at foundation.miracosta.edu/events.html. The event is open to any car or motorcycle and there are no year or make/model restrictions. Categories include hot rods, classics, tuners, trucks, customs, choppers, rat rods, unrestored original, and works in progress. The Car and Motorcycle Show will be held in Parking Lot 1A, with free spectator parking in lot 2A. For information, contact Steve Vail or call 760.757.2121, x6354.
