MiraCosta College earned top honors from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR), the largest organization in the world that represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges and from the statewide Community College Public Relations Organization (CCPRO). MiraCosta earned the Paragon Award, from NCMPR, the only national competition of its kind that honors excellence exclusively among marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges.

More than 21,000 credit students per semester in over 70 disciplines enroll in associate degrees, university transfer and workforce readiness certificate programs. The college also serves a wide spectrum of educational needs in the region ranging from programs for adult education, basic skills, and ESL to a California Community College pilot program offering the nation’s first baccalaureate degree in biomanufacturing.
