North County Food Bank 2020 Community Champion Awards

​On Thursday, October 29th , 2020, the North County Food Bank will host their North County Food Bank 2020 Community Champion Awards: A Salute to Our COVID-19 Heroes. Join us as we gather to honor and recognize our partners and North County heroes during the COVID-19 pandemic, and celebrate the contributions they have made in our community since mid-March. This celebratory evening will include a North County Food Bank update from our CEO Jim Floros, as well as a heartfelt thank you and salute to the amazing individuals, companies, organizations and volunteers that have gone above and beyond during these unprecedented times. Videotaped from our North County facility, we invite you to virtually join and pay tribute to those who have made the biggest impact in feeding and supporting our North County community! This event will help raise funds for the North County Food Bank during these times of need.

As you are well aware, the North County community has been amazing since the COVID-19 pandemic hit San Diego in mid-March. Through the support and generosity of so many, the North County Food Bank been able to make a much bigger impact in providing food assistance to nearly 600,000 people a month in San Diego during these times, including working-poor families, children living in poverty, low-income military families, fixed-income seniors, and those recently unemployed or furloughed. 

In response to the support of our community during our pandemic, the North County Food Bank has decided to replace their annual December Gala with an October 29th virtual event, North County Food Bank 2020 Community Champion Awards: A Salute to Our COVID-19 Heroes. The event will recognize and honor some of their North County partners, donors and heroes during the COVID-19 pandemic, celebrating the contributions they’ve made in the community since mid-March. It’s an opportunity for us to join together and pay tribute to those who have made the biggest impact in feeding and supporting our North County food insecure. All proceeds will benefit the North County Food Bank and our COVID-19 response.

Sponsorships start at $1,000. With the $5,000 ‘Award’ sponsorship, sponsors have the opportunity to introduce and recognize one of the NCFB Award Winners (a corporation, community official, etc..). Learn more about the event and sponsorships.
