The Oceanside Friends of the Arts(OFOA) is proud to announce the availability of scholarship grants for local Oceanside students interested in pursuing art through their college curriculum. OFOA is the producer of First Friday Art Walk and proceeds from those events support the arts related activities for the Oceanside community including scholarships. OFOA has a strong commitment to give back to Oceanside youth through scholarships and grants. “Last year OFOA gave out two $500 Scholarships and we are excited to be able to do the same gift again this year. We see this as a way to keep Oceanside as a leading California cultural destination of the arts for our residents and out of town visitors as we offer local artists a place to show and sell their artwork, hear and play music and to explore the creative side of life, says Kathleen Ossiander, OFOA VP of Grants and Scholarships.
OFOA encourages all forms of 2d, 3d Graphis Arts, Dance, Theater and Music to apply. To be considered for this award applicants should include the following information in no more than two pages:

About Oceanside Friends of the Arts The Oceanside Friends of the Arts, a Non-Profit 501c3 Foundation, was established in 2016 with the goal of promoting Oceanside and surrounding communities as an important arts, culture, entertainment and tourism hub/destination that catalyzes economic prosperity and a high quality of life for Oceanside’s future. The Oceanside Cultural District was recently selected as one of California’s 14, premier state-designated cultural districts by the California Arts Council. The California Cultural Districts program aims to leverage the state’s artistic and cultural assets.
