Reopened businesses stated in section 21f may open under the following conditions:
- The State has posted the applicable COVID-19 INDUSTRY GUIDANCE
- The Public Health Officer has posted an acknowledgement of reopened status on the County of San Diego Coronavirus website
- The business has complied with the requirements of this Order
Schools offering necessary childcare or daycare services may hold classes or school activities provided they conform to the requirements of section 5.
- Child daycare and childcare providers may also be carried out in groups less than 12 if required by a facility's licensing requirements.
- As of June 2nd, , San Diegan’s can sit and sunbathe at local beaches – change in health officers order.
- We are awaiting guidance from the Governor for reopening additional sectors of the economy as well as schools to be able to move further into stage three.
- At this point, we are waiting for information on youth sports, gyms, nail salons, community pools, and sporting events with no spectators.
- At the June 2nd Board of Supervisors meeting a set of 13 triggers were presented and approved by the Supervisors on the updates of the County’s COVID-19 response. This is important as we continue to reopen, we need to be able to measure and quantify any outbreaks, or potential negative impacts from reopening.
- The LANCET article mentioned various non-pharmaceutical interventions (face coverings, physical distancing) which will give evidence on why we are continuing a lot of these interventions.
- Safe Reopening page is now live – containing information on what is open, guidelines, forecast for stages three and four.
- The County of San Diego Board of Supervisors will send a letter to the Governor to ask for more local control on what will open for the future.

- Include CDC Symptom changes in Reopening Plan
- Yes, you should include changes. Symptoms under CDC Coronavirus symptoms should be the ones added for any screening. [Posted 6/04/2020]
- Negative Testing & Requirements
- Item 20 on the Health Officer Order references guidelines to follow as well as additional guidance that follows the Health Office Order. [Posted 6/04/2020]
- Frontline Workers and Salon Service Appointment
- If a front-line worker had a breach on their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), that appointment should be rescheduled for 10 to 14 days. If the front-line worker has not had any breach in their PPE, then it is okay to schedule the appointment. The state will make an update to the industry guidelines for hair salons and barbershops. - Parameter for Self-Isolation and Quarantine at Work
- If a person has been quarantined for more than 14 days, there is no need to send a notice for all employees. [Posted 6/04/2020]
- Childcare Requirements and Virus Spread through Children

- Employee’s Household member positive with COVID-19
- The employee will need to follow the isolation instructions from the Health Officer Order and contact physician or 211 for further guidance. [Posted 6/04/2020]
- Add Business Names to Letter for Governor

- Medical Massage Categorized
- If these massages are required for therapeutic purposes and located in hospital settings, then they are authorized. Need to have some type of medical indication that it is for medical reasons. [Posted 6/04/2020]
- Musician and DJ at Restaurants
- Live entertainment is not authorized at this time or entertainment outlet such as pool table or dart boards. [Posted 6/04/2020]
- Hookah Smoking at Restaurants

- Return to work after screened with high temperature
- A person that is symptomatic for COVID-19 will need to follow isolation criteria from the Health officer Order and get testing through their physician or call 211. [Posted 6/04/2020]
- Guidance on Employee Exposure at Work
- You would not necessarily send all employees home if there was a single case. Epidemiology department will be interfacing with the business if there is a positive case. [Posted 6/04/2020]
- Employee Traveling through States
- We are still under a stay-at-home order. The person will need to be in quarantine unless they are symptomatic. [Posted 6/04/2020]
- Youth Gymnastics

- Gym preparations
