San Diego County Credit Union Reaches 400,000 Members

​San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, reported continued customer growth with the total number of members served in San Diego, Orange and Riverside counties now exceeding 400,000.

Earlier this year, SDCCU held grand opening celebrations for two new branches, SDCCU Costa Mesa and SDCCU Mission Viejo branches, bringing the total number of branches in Orange County to five. In addition to an increasing number of branch locations to better serve members, SDCCU attributes membership growth to its commitment to innovation, service excellence and community support.

In addition to reaching this major milestone, SDCCU has experienced several other highlights so far this year. SDCCU was named San Diego’s BEST Credit Union for the 19th consecutive year by readers of The San Diego Union-Tribune as well as BEST Auto Loan Provider, BEST Financial Planner and BEST Mortgage Provider. The credit union collected more than 500,000 pounds of paper at the annual SDCCU Super Shred Event. The event also raised over $5,800 for SDCCU Stuff the Bus, a program launched in partnership with the San Diego County Office of Education and iHeartMedia radio stations, Star 94.1, Channel 93.3, JAM’N 95.7 and KOGO AM 600 benefiting thousands of homeless students in San Diego. Overall, SDCCU Stuff the Bus yielded nearly 6,000 filled backpacks and 230,000 school supplies to help set local students up for success.
