SDCCU Provides Free Educational Resources for National Consumer Protection Week, March 5-11

SAN DIEGO, Calif., (March 6, 2023) –  San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, is providing educational resources for the community in support of National Consumer Protection Week, March 5-11. On Wednesday, March 8, SDCCU will present two free webinars aimed at educating the community on how to keep themselves, their loved ones and their finances safe. Webinar topics include Current Scams and How to Protect Your Finances, and Elder Financial Abuse Prevention.

National Consumer Protection Week encourages the community to learn more about their consumer rights and how to keep themselves secure. The FTC has sponsored National Consumer Protection Week since 1998 and provides free resources to protect consumers from the latest scam tactics and other fraudulent crimes like identity theft. If you think you’ve been a victim of a scam, report it to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
