THE FRIENDS OF THE OCEANSIDE PUBLIC LIBRARY INVITE YOU TO DECLUTTER AT BRING YOUR BOOKS DAY5/26/2023 The Friends of the Oceanside Public Library are hosting Bring Your Books Day! on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their sorting facility, located at 169 Roymar Road in Oceanside. This is an opportunity to declutter and help support Oceanside Public Library by donating your gently used books, along with opened and unopened DVDs and CDs, and magazines and puzzles. For the donation location map and other information please visit oplfriends.org. Volunteers will be available for curbside unloading. According to Friends President Chris Wilson, “The Friends sell the donations at our bookstores to generate crucial funding for the Library. Those funds help the Library purchase books and other print and digital media; provide programs and events for all ages; offer technology resources such as 3D printing; and enhance outreach efforts through bookmobiles, Mini-libraries and home deliveries.” “Donations from our community today help ensure that our Library continues tomorrow and into the future as a source of education, enrichment and entertainment.” The Friends sell your donations at their three bookstores; at the Oceanside Thursday Farmers Market; and through their Amazon store.
