The inspiration for both of these businesses came from their firsthand, positive experiences using CBD as an alternative to traditional pharmaceuticals. For Flourish + Live Well, it was Brown’s struggle with back pain, insomnia, and stress. He finally found relief without side effects after trying an all natural, plant based, topical with full-spectrum, hemp-derived CBD. It was his desire to bring relief to others that led Brown to open Flourish + Live Well. For the Etchemendy family of Greenlife Organics, it was seeing their beloved dog, Aria’s unresponsiveness to traditional pharmaceuticals. They feared they would have to put her down. After researching alternatives they discovered hemp oil had amazing medicinal properties for pets. Within days of Aria taking the hemp oil, her vibrancy returned.  At that moment, they decided to convert 1/2 of their San Diego Avocado Farm into a hemp farm with the goal of sharing its natural relief with others. When asked about adding Greenlife Organics to his product offerings Brown said, “We are so excited to find a local San Diego purveyor whose vision and aspirations are so aligned with ours.”
