Oceanside, CA. (October 19, 2022) – WRC announced Stephanie Miller, LMFT as the organization’s new CEO as of September 6. “I am so grateful to accept the position as CEO of this well-loved organization that consists of extremely talented staff, Board of Directors and a long history of dedicated donors and partners. WRC’s future is bright,” said Miller. “My goal in leading this organization is to build on the achievements of the past 48 years. WRC will not only maintain its high level of standards in service delivery but will continue to expand upon our impact in North San Diego County.” Miller joins WRC from The Delores Project in Denver, Colorado, where she served as the CEO for the nonprofit dedicated to providing inclusive shelter and supportive housing for women and transgender individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability. A collaborative leader, she is dedicated to equity and consensus building – a dedication that will serve WRC well as it embarks on a new era. “Our Board of Directors is thrilled to introduce a leader of Stephanie’s caliber into our community to lead WRC,” said Kaj Leonard, Board Chairperson. “Stephanie possesses the qualifications and expertise to grow WRC into an even more successful organization. We are grateful to our staff, including Interim CEO and Deputy Director Jill Marshall, Director of Development & Business Lauren-Jane Stephenson, and Director of Residential Services Sofia Hughes, who all worked hard to get us to where we are today. We are excited for Stephanie’s leadership, energy, and passion for our work as we look forward to the next chapter for WRC.” Says Kaj Leonard, Board Chair.
