 Service for your country never loses honor and we will not let time erode the praise and honor. Minuteman Press Oceanside is looking to honor veterans with a special tribute calendar. Many veterans in Oceanside are hidden in the crowds. Please come forward on this one occasion and help us recognize you and your fellow veterans in a 2020 calendar. We would like to publish this calendar by Veterans Day 2019, so please hurry.
 The Commanding General, Marine Corps Installations West-Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, is hosting the 26th Annual Military Retiree Expo on 7 September 2019 from 0730 to 1300 at the Pacific Views Event Center, building 202850. Military retirees use this opportunity to keep abreast of the Department of Defense’s future plans, policies, programs, and pending legislation that might affect them and their families. Additionally, the Expo will provide information of a personal service nature. This event is open to all military retirees and their family members.
 TRICARE Prime members, upon authorization from their PCM, can take advantage of our all-natural nutrition services at NO COST to Active service members and their family members. A very affordable copay of $30 will be charged to Retirees. All Active Duty service members are automatically enrolled in TRICARE Prime.
 A group of small business owners, with the support of the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, has decided to make an impact in their community by facilitating a free turkey or ham to military families.
 This Veterans Day San Diego County Supervisor Bill Horn is hosting his annual Veterans Forum on November 8th from 9:00am to 11:00am at the North Inland Live Well Center. This year we are celebrating Vietnam Veterans in addition to all veterans, their families, and military/veteran community members. This will be Supervisor Horn’s final forum so we hope you can join! We will serve light refreshments prior to our exciting program, which consists of three dynamic speakers. We have special giveaways for our veterans and attendees in addition to over 30 non-profits participating in the Resource Fair! We invite all veterans, active duty servicemembers, military/veterans service providers, military/veteran families, community-based organizations, and community members to attend.
