Dominic’s Italian Restaurant Shows the World How to Make a Winning Bacon Pie Orange Beach, AL, Nov. 11, 2018 – Forty competitors from all culinary backgrounds reported to the Kitchen Arena at the World Food Championships (WFC) in Orange Beach, Alabama, to compete in the Bacon World Championships (BWC). The WFC is a plethora of cooking and baking competitions held over a five-day period, ranging from Barbecue, Burgers and Chicken, to Seafood, Chili and Desserts. U.S. Pizza Team member Tore Trupiano, of Dominic’s Italian Restaurant in Oceanside, California, made the trip to test his culinary prowess. Trupiano placed 10th in the world overall for his beautiful bacon dishes. San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, reported continued customer growth with the total number of members served in San Diego, Orange and Riverside counties now exceeding 400,000.

The Veterans Memorial Museum of Balboa Park in San Diego cordially invite you to a Veterans Day art exhibition of paintings by Gulf War Navy veteran artist W.B. of Cynthia's Artistic Expressions for our new art gallery inauguration. W.B. is a fine arts oil painter and muralist of Oceanside. He has worked throughout the San Diego area including The World Beat Cultural Center in Balboa Park. He has also spoken at the PTSD Art symposium about the benefits of art therapy. The soft opening of the new gallery begins at 4pm Sunday November 11th, 2018. The reception begins at 6:30pm and the event will end at 8:30pm. This is a free family friendly event.
Each year, Vista Community Clinic (VCC) provides affordable, high quality pediatric care to more
than 20,000 children of all ages. The Holiday Homes Tour benefits the VCC Kare for Kids Fund which provides low or no cost health and dental care to children in need in our community and is also dedicated to transforming VCC's pediatric facilities into warm and welcoming spaces for children and families. The goal is to create pediatric waiting areas and exam rooms with comfortable seating, whimsical art, books and puzzles to engage young patients as they receive care at each VCC site. |
