Have you heard of Dads' Club at the Vista Community Clinic? This program helps fathers and father figures 16 years of age and older who are interested in learning about developing healthy relationships with their children, partners, and others; positive parenting; and resources and services in their community. Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside (BGCO) received a $5,000 Sports 4 Life grant from the Women’s Sports Foundation to start an all girls’ volleyball program. The Sports 4 Life initiative, cofounded by the Women’s Sports Foundation and espnW, supports programs that help girls in four foundational areas - leadership, self-esteem, confidence and perseverance – with the expectation that growth in these areas will also support girls’ physical and emotional health and academic success.
The City of Oceanside is pleased to announce that it will receive $1.5 Million in funding from the Bureau of Reclamation’s WaterSMART Water and Energy Efficiency Grant, subject to Federal appropriations. The funding will be used to construct Phase 1 of a new Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) network, including retrofitting 21,689 existing meters and integrating the AMI system with the existing customer interface platform. Once the project is complete, 49% of the City’s meters will be connected to the AMI network. The AMI system will provide real-time information to customers about leaks, breaks, and other unusual consumption patterns.

Orange County’s Toll Roads Send New Free Sticker Transponders to 700,000+ FasTrak Account holders Beginning this month, The Toll Roads of Orange County are mailing 15,000 new sticker transponders per weekday to FasTrak® accountholders to replace the hard-case transponders currently in use. The new transparent, bandage-size transponder is free and adheres to the inside of a windshield to collect tolls.

NCTD Encourages Project Funding by Giving State and Local Representatives Tour of Del Mar Bluffs4/18/2019
On Saturday, April 13, 2019, representatives from state and local agencies as well a California State Senate office joined representatives and staff from the North County Transit District (NCTD) for an event highlighting the need for funding to stabilize the Del Mar bluffs (Bluffs and/or DMB). Invited guests met at the Powerhouse Park Community Center in Del Mar where they heard from NCTD Board Chair Tony Kranz and viewed a presentation by the San Diego Association of Governments’ (SANDAG) Principal Engineer Bruce Smith.
Oceanside, CA - On April 11, 2019, the North County Transit District (NCTD) will retire the current version of GoNCTD.com, and launch a new state-of-the-art website. The current website, which has been in place for more than five years, utilizes three different sites to make up GoNCTD.com – a desktop version, a limited access mobile version, and a news center for press releases. The redesigned site merges all of these into one contemporary website.
In 2009, the City of Oceanside adopted the Coast Highway Vision and Strategic Plan. This plan serves as a blueprint for the revitalization and enhancement of the Coast Highway corridor between Harbor Drive in the north and Buena Vista Lagoon in the south. The Vision and Strategic Plan includes several recommendations to transform Coast Highway from an auto-oriented thoroughfare into a "complete street" that serves all modes of transportation from automobiles to pedestrians to bicyclists and transit vehicles.
