Orange County’s Toll Roads Send New Free Sticker Transponders to 700,000+ FasTrak Account holders Beginning this month, The Toll Roads of Orange County are mailing 15,000 new sticker transponders per weekday to FasTrak® accountholders to replace the hard-case transponders currently in use. The new transparent, bandage-size transponder is free and adheres to the inside of a windshield to collect tolls.

NCTD Encourages Project Funding by Giving State and Local Representatives Tour of Del Mar Bluffs4/18/2019
On Saturday, April 13, 2019, representatives from state and local agencies as well a California State Senate office joined representatives and staff from the North County Transit District (NCTD) for an event highlighting the need for funding to stabilize the Del Mar bluffs (Bluffs and/or DMB). Invited guests met at the Powerhouse Park Community Center in Del Mar where they heard from NCTD Board Chair Tony Kranz and viewed a presentation by the San Diego Association of Governments’ (SANDAG) Principal Engineer Bruce Smith.

The current website, which has been in place for more than five years, utilizes three different sites to make up GoNCTD.com – a desktop version, a limited access mobile version, and a news center for press releases. Oceanside, CA - The North County Transit District (NCTD) will move forward with the bus stop optimization plan beginning Sunday, April 21, 2019. Following the March 6 press release “NCTD Implements Bus Stop Optimization Program”, NCTD decided to extend the original implementation date of April 7, 2019 to April 21, 2019. By extending the date of the elimination of the identified bus stops, NCTD hopes this will allow ample time for customers to transition and adapt their transit schedule.
Oceanside, CA--The North County Transit District (NCTD) operates 30 BREEZE bus routes and four FLEX deviated fixed-routes collectively serving Carlsbad, Camp Pendleton, Encinitas, Escondido, Oceanside, San Marcos, Solana Beach, Vista, and rural San Diego County. Average weekday ridership between October and December 2018 was over 21,000 for BREEZE and about 100 for FLEX.
The Oceanside Mural Initiative (OMI) seeks to install three public art murals over the course of three years in Downtown Oceanside. OMI is a community driven initiative, and will integrate key partners in the downtown region of Oceanside. Through this initiative, Oceanside will become a destination for public art and improve the image of our downtown district through beautification projects.
The three murals presented below are the finalists in a process conducted by the Oceanside Mural Initiative Committee. We are seeking a public vote to choose the second OMI mural to be installed on the building located at 326 N. Horne Street. MainStreet Oceanside and the City of Oceanside Economic Development Division has collaborated with 760 Marketing to highlight downtown’s growth and construction projects and keep the community informed as we are improving our infrastructure to attract new retailers and residents to Downtown Oceanside.

The San Diego Superior Court is now seeking dedicated residents with sound judgment from throughout the county to serve on the 2019/2020 San Diego County Grand Jury. The Grand Jury investigates citizen complaints and performs its traditional function as a “watchdog” over government agencies. It does not conduct criminal investigations.
Oceanside, CA--North County Transit District (NCTD) has achieved full implementation of the federally-mandated Positive Train Control (PTC) safety system for 58.5 miles of track it controls within the San Diego County portion of the Los Angeles-San Diego-San Luis Obispo Rail Corridor (LOSSAN). NCTD is one of only four agencies across the country that has completed PTC implementation by the federally-mandated deadline of December 31, 2018.
